RYOTA片山凉太
RYOTA is a Japanese-born Malaysian singer-songwriter and music producer. RYOTA made his solo debut in 2012 with singles like “Yoki” (feat Like Silver), “Anti-Clockwise” and “Thank You And Take Care”. His stylish blend of catchy melodies and intricate yet tasteful arrangements/productions has caught the attentions of many listeners all around Malaysia.
RYOTA has since then gained widespread attention and was invited to perform in numerous shows and festivals such as Little Taiwan Calling Music Festival, Tian Kong Music Festival, Southern Gate Music Festival, Dong Tai Du Music Festival, and Layan Fest. In 2017, RYOTA also released his first self-produced EP titled “Hillarys” in Australia and was well received by radio stations such as Triple J Unearthed. In 2018, RYOTA also participated in the popular Chinese electronic music talent reality show “Rave Now” (即刻电音).
In 2019, RYOTA’s “大⼈儿歌” was nominated for Top 10 Singles of 2019 by Freshmusic Awards. RYOTA is currently working on his full-length album, which is expected to be released this year.
RYOTA 在日本出生，父亲是日本人，母亲是马来西亚人，四岁时便随着家人离开日本来到马来 西亚定居，后来也曾经和母亲一起到澳洲生活。他在成长过程里经历过许多环境的转变，在不一 样的地方文化冲击之下，接触到各式各样的音乐类型。RYOTA的创作曲风偏向于迷幻流行 (Dream Pop)，Trap与独立摇滚 (Indie-Rock)，不善言辞的他选择以音乐替代言语，将自己的心里的小宇宙以叙事般的口吻，夹带着些许的青涩稚气，时而忧郁低吟，时而放任呐喊，如同他的真 实个性那般，无拘无束却又让人捉摸不定的。
2018年他曾以参赛者的身份赴中国参加一档音乐竞技节目《即刻电音》，也多次在马来西亚的各大音乐节演出，包括小呼叫音乐节、天空音乐节、动态度音乐节、光合作用原创音乐节、 南门音乐节、 GeorgeTown Festival、Layan Fest等等。2019年RYOTA以《大人儿歌》入围了第十二届 Freshmusic Awards的年度十大单曲候选二十五强。
