Taipei-born, New York-based musician 9m88 is a genre-bending chanteuse for the modern age. Since announcing her arrival on the duet “Weekends With You” alongside Taiwanese award-winning rapper Leo Wang in late 2016, she’s made a name with her compelling, highly visual live shows and playfully retro musical style.

Also goes by the name Baba, she is also known for infusing her music with vivid and retro visuals. Her lyrics usually deal with personal bitter-sweet stories on a daily basis. The release of her 7-inch vinyl “Nine Head Hinano”, including a cover of City Pop classic “Plastic Love”, has helped her increase followers over the world. She released her critically-acclaimed debut album “Beyond Mediocrity” in August independently and has since sold-out all her concerts in Taiwan!🔥

#9m88，90 後台北女子，新生代創作音樂人。音樂風格深受R&B、Neo soul、Jazz、Improvisation、Hip hop、Pop影響，慵懶感性的嗓音即興遊走，兼具優雅冷靜與古怪大膽的魅力，歌詞創作恰如其人，甜蜜帶點嘲諷，自然不造作，傳達現代女性的獨特思維。設計學院背景出身的她，開放多變的獨到美感，從音樂跨足影像、造型，型塑出強烈的個人節奏與藝術厚度。

2016年底因與 Leo 王合唱的一曲 《陪妳過假日》開始讓聽眾知道她。接連陸續與各界音樂人展開合作，包括蛋堡、吳青峰、馬念先、LEO37+ SOSS、北京製作人 Fishdoll、YouTuber 異鄉人、華語 R&B 新星 ØZI ……等等。

2017 年底與 2manysound 發行的《九頭身日奈》中翻唱了 City Pop 經典曲〈Plastic Love〉後，開始獲得更多國際上的關注。2019 年八月，9m88以獨立之姿，推出醞釀多時的首張創作專輯《平庸之上 Beyond Mediocrity》，與多位國際活躍音樂人合作，曲風多元線條自由具現代感，是一張充斥個人獨特美學，並具國際視野的潛力之作。
